Follow these tips to avoid a rejected auto insurance claim

When comparing and considering a New York auto insurance company, many prospective insurance customers wonder how simple it is to place to claims with selected insurers. This curiosity may result from past challenges in submitting claims or experiencing denied claims. Today, we aim to shed a new light on insurance claims and show you how to ensure that your claim will be paid.

·         How roadworthy is your vehicle?

A car that has worn-out tires is more likely skid into oncoming vehicles or obstacles in poor weather. The onus is on you, the driver, to ensure that your car is in the best possible driving condition. If not, your auto insurer may not cover your losses.

·         Do you have a valid driver’s license?

In most cases, only the claimant who is covered by their auto insurer will receive a payout in the case of an accident. But if that same claimant was a passenger in their own car, which was being driven by someone without a valid license, your insurer may reject your claim.

·         Was your insurance application completed (correctly)?

It is considered fraud if you fail to provide correct personal information to your auto insurance. Ensure that the correct details, model of car, plus extras inside your car are correctly listed on your auto insurance documents.

·         Are you under-insured?

This is a common problem. Many auto insurance buyers select low limits to decrease rates, only to discover that the coverage is not sufficient in the event of a claim.

While many of these factors are common sense, it’s better to be safe than sorry. Let the trusted experts at Tanner Insurance Agency Inc. get you the coverage you need at a price you can afford.  And the next time you file a claim to your New York auto insurance provider, you will have peace of mind that you are protected properly.

This is some really good information about insurance claims. I am glad that you talked about how you need to make sure your claim paperwork is filled out correctly. That does seem like an easy thing to do wrong, and it would be best to make sure everything is alright before sending it in. http://montanafirst.com/types-of-insurance/auto-insurance/

I didn't know that an insurer could reject a claim based on who's driving. That sounds like a good way to control liability. I'll have to pay attention to that kind of thing if I get a car. http://www.jacobsbarney.com/practice-areas

I like that you mentioned that if you are driving without a valid license then your claim may be rejected. I would imagine that everyone knows that if you are driving without a valid license then you are breaking the law. I think that if you are breaking the law and get in an accident then you are going to have to spend a lot more money than if you had a valid license. http://www.ahlquistins.com/automobile/default.aspx

I agree that it is important to upkeep your car's maintenance so that in the event of an accident you are able to receive your insurance claim. Not only can staying on top or your maintenance help you receive your claims, it could also prevent the accident within itself. Making sure that your brakes work properly and that your tires are not bald could decrease your risk of rear-ending someone. http://www.aall.net/en/service/auto/

I am often worried that I am under-insured. I feel like I can only afford a lower limit but maybe I need to invest in something more for the sake of my sanity and in the long run, I will be safer in case an accident were to happen! I would much rather be safe than sorry. http://ableinsurance.net/products/auto-insurance/

I am thinking about getting auto insurance by myself for the first time. It is a little daunting since I have always had someone with me or had help from a friend or family member. Knowing that it is important to make sure that everything is filled out correctly makes me feel a little more confident in the information I will be handing in. http://www.insurancesomersetpa.com/

Thanks for some guidelines on how to avoid a rejected auto insurance claim. It's great that you mentioned how it's considered a fraud to have incorrect personal information on one's auto insurance. Making sure that you place proper details would be necessary, so proofread it after filling it up. Additionally, making sure you are not under-insured would be very beneficial since being too thrifty on an auto insurance may end up being a very bad decision. I'd be sure to take your guidelines into consideration and be wise on my auto insurance policy. That being said, I'll have to look into what auto insurance would best suit my needs. http://www.affordableinsuranceri.com/auto-insurance
